Project Overview

The historic complex subject to intervention is located between Via Paolo Veronese and Via San Valentino, within Block Q of the historic center of Bussolengo. The site includes the Church of San Valentino and dates back to 1844. The complex, protected under Legislative Decree 42/2004 (Code of Cultural Heritage and Landscape), had long been unusable due to its complete inaccessibility, and is composed of three adjoining building volumes.

The redevelopment project envisions the transformation of the site into a multi-purpose facility serving the local community, with civic uses such as recreational areas, offices, multipurpose spaces, and exhibition areas aimed at enhancing the value of the property.

The intervention has been carefully designed to respect the historical context of the site, with the goal of preserving the existing structures as much as possible—both in their external appearance and in the original building profiles. In addition to all preparatory operations, the project includes the complete demolition of all non-load-bearing walls, floor slabs, and roof structures of the western and central wings, as well as the demolition of the trusses and roof of the Colombara tower.
